The Hartford Parks Tour is CBC's largest annual fundraising event. Your participation helps us continue promoting bicycling, walking and sustainable transportation throughout Connecticut.

Join over 1,000 other participants in supporting the programs of the Connecticut Bicycle Coalition by riding, running or walking through Hartford's historic parks and neighborhoods.

	Ride, walk or run 10, 15, 25 and 40 mile routes.
	Mass start at 9:15 a.m., rolling start until 10:00 a.m.
	Ride at your own pace.
	Police escort, SAG support, mechanical assistance, water and refreshments provided [free].
	Routes signed and marshalled. Maps and cue sheets provided.
	Following the Tour, enjoy: 6th Annual Hartford Downtown Criterium presented by AMC Cycling Team & Central Wheel. Bike Expo: Specials on bikes, parts, and accessories. Free Valet Bike Parking by Kryptonite.

Tour Rules

	Check-In and Check-Out Everyone must check in before and check out after the Tour.  A wrist band will be issued at check-in and will be your ID card for the day.  Commemorative items will be distributed at Check-Out.  Volunteers will be on hand to get you through quickly.
	Helmets CT State Law requires all cyclists aged 15 and younger to wear a helmet.  Connecticut Bicycle Coalition requires helmets to be worn by ALL PARTICIPANTS in Hartford Parks Bike Tour.  Reduced price helmets will be available for sale at Registration.
	Rules of the Road Apply Follow the rules of the road.   Unless instructed otherwise by police officials, honor ALL traffic lights and stop signs.  Pass obstructions and bikes from the left.  Use hand signals.  It's not only the law, but really the most enjoyable and efficient way to get around .
	Children and Minors Participants aged 17 and younger must arrive at Check-In with a parent or guardian.  All cyclists aged 12 and younger must ride with adult supervision.

Driving Directions

	From the South: I-91 N to Capitol Area exit; proceed straight veer right at Pulaski Circle rotary; take first right onto Gold St; first right on Main St; at 3rd light take right onto Capitol Avenue; park LEFT in State lot; ride to Bushnell Park Check-In down hill from the Capitol building.
	From the North: I-91 S to Capitol Area exit; proceed straight veer right at Pulaski Circle rotary; take first right onto Gold St; first right on Main St; at 3rd light take right onto Capitol Avenue; park LEFT in State lot; ride to Bushnell Park Check-In down hill from the Capitol building.
	From the West: I-84 E to Capitol Area/Ave. exit; bear RIGHT off exit; at end of exit turn LEFT on to Capitol Avenue.  Go through 2 lights and Park RIGHT in State lot; ride to Bushnell Park Check-In down hill from the Capitol building.
	From the East: I-84 W to Downtown Hartford exit; turn LEFT at light at end of exit ramp onto Columbus Blvd; turn RIGHT at 2nd light onto Arch St; turn LEFT at 2nd light onto Main St; turn RIGHT and 2nd light onto Capitol Avenue.  Park LEFT in State lot; ride to Bushnell Park Check-In down hill from the Capitol building.
	Free parking is available in State parking lots along Capitol Avenue, one block south of Bushnell Park.
