Capitol Region Bike Plan

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) has scheduled a Public Meeting to present/discuss its last -draft -before- public- comment Capitol Region Bike Plan.

The meeting will take place on Monday, March 13 at 7:00 pm at the West Hartford Town Hall, Room 422. The Town Hall is located on Main St. one block southeast from the Main St./Farmington Ave. intersection.

CRCOG staffer Sandy Fry is anxious to receive bicyclist feedback. The other day she remarked, "Did you se how we got in there that the reason debris-free shoulders are essential isn't because you guys are supposed to be riding in there; but just in case you have to get out of the travel lane to make way for a faster moving vehicle." She was so proud!

You can receive an advance copy of the plan by calling Sandy at 860-522-2217.

A copy is being sent directly to area bike shops.

If you can't make the meeting but want to submit written comments, feel free to forward them to CBC and we will present them for you.

Folks throughout CT should request a copy of the plan and consider it for some boilerplate information for regions throughout the state.

Ride On,
