One Beach / Many Pebbles

Greetings, everyone. CBC asks your help by participating in this year's Workplace Giving Campaigns so that from many pebbles of weekly payroll deductions we can create an entire beach! So much of what we do - like writing the Drivers Manual chapter and the MDC Plan, to helping people bike from NYC to Litchfield, isn't directly funded. I guess the contemporary terminology is "unfunded mandate." Well CBC's got lots of 'em!

CBC is a member of Community Works of Connecticut, a federation of not for profit organizations. Community Works participates in workplace giving campaigns along with other federations, including the United Way Combined Health Appeal, United Negro College Fund, and Combined Appeal for the Arts.

Here's what you do: If you work for any of the following employers, ask for a Community Works of CT Pledge card and designate CBC to be the beneficiary of your payroll contribution. Talk to your colleagues and encourage them to do the same thing -the right thing - the bike thing - and choose CBC and Community Works. Call CBC if you have any questions 860-527-5200, or if we can count on you to roust up support from your colleagues. Thank you & Ride On, georgette
